Charting the #CorrespondenceCourse of Two Artists: Abigail Doan + Brece Honeycutt
Founded on the ideas of collaboration among artists, Norte Maar is always excited to learn about independent projects that take form when to or more artists create, respond, and explore the world together. One such project, initiated during the Autumn of 2015, features artists Abigail Doan (@lostinfiber) and Brece Honeycutt (@onacolonialfarm) who began a parallel process of collecting, diagramming, and altering select materials in an urban to rural dialogue intended to examine modern and historic connections in their daily lives.

Norte Maar is proud to announce our 2016 Dance at Socrates Choreographer Resident Artists and invited guests who will be participating this summer's Dance at Socrates. Come to the Socrates Sculpture Park on Saturdays throughout August for our free public performances starting at 4PM featuring these dance makers!
NM Announces Its Summer Artists-In-Residence
Norte Maar is pleased to introduce our 2016 Summer Artists-In-Residence. The husband and wife team of painter JJ Manford and mixed media artist Elisa Soliven will be in residence at the Jay House, Norte Maar's summer home in the Adirondacks from July 11-18, 2016. Norte Maar opens a new exhibition space in Cypress Hills! Inaugurating the new space will be Kris Graves: The Testament Project, a riveting photography series that skillfully chronicles the artist’s motivation to capture a “re-conception of the contemporary black experience.”

Norte Maar is please to announce our thirteen’s poet/artist collaborative publication! Pin the Tail on the Tiger includes 12 poems by Bob “The Dean of the Scene” Holman and art by Jessica Weiss. This publication joins the list of limited edition publications by Norte Maar.
