Norte Maar returns to its summer home in the Adirondacks with another epic summer of events! Since our founding in 2004, summer events have been the bedrock of our programing featuring art and dance and more! The Summer of 2016 will be jam packed and one of our most ambitious ever! The creative team of Norte Maar takes over a storefront, the former Mintzer's Pharmacy in downtown Au Sable Forks, for a month to present an eclectic curation of local and regional artists. The exhibition is being held in tandem with Norte Maar's Au Sable River Valley Studio Tour and will be open with regular hours through July!

__________Norte Maar returns to its summer home in the Adirondacks presenting the 3rd Annual Jay Invitational of Clay: an exhibition featuring a local and regional selection of works in clay. The exhibition will open to the public on Friday, July 15 from 6-9pm on the grounds of the Jay House, Norte Maar’s summer residence in the Adirondacks. This event coincides with the 2nd Annual Au Sable River Valley Studio Tour, July 16-17.

__________Building upon the enthusiasm and history of the former Jay Studio Tour of the 1990s and 2000s, The Au Sable River Valley Studio Tour returns for it’s second year including over twenty-five artist studios and art spaces that feature a wide range of creative artists living and working in the townships of the Au Sable River Valley including Keene Valley, Keene, Upper Jay, Jay, Wilmington and Au Sable Forks. Studios and art spaces will be open to the public on July 16 + 17 from 10am-4pm.
Norte Maar is pleased to introduce our 2016 Summer Artists-In-Residence.
The husband and wife team of painter JJ Manford and mixed media artist Elisa Soliven will be in residence at the Jay House, Norte Maar’s summer home in the Adirondacks from July 11-18, 2016. Norte Maar’s Artists-In-Residence Program offers artists housing for a week with studio space and the Au Sable River to wade in. The program also aims to introduce artists to new communities and communities to new artists. The program is supported in part by The Friends of Norte Maar.
