Join us at 4:30pm at the Norte Maar “Lattice Views” Mural for firefly origami and arts activities,  plus learn about the exciting world of firefly communication and life cycles. Firefly processional starts at 6:30pm and leads to a 15-20 min dance performance inspired by firefly flight patterns,  firefly mythology and folklore, and the factors leading to their population decline. This piece is produced by Norte Maar, Julia Gleich/Gleich Dances (a NYC Department of Transportation Space Activation Partner), and the Forest Park Trust.  This project is an extension of Norte Maar’s Free Kids Art, produced in partnership with the Arlington Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library.
