Norte Maar and the Rouses Point Historical Society presented the fifth-annual program featuring Gleich Dances (London/NYC) in the collaborative premiere of The Pelican (Revised) with original urban sound by Verbal Graffiti (NYC). Program included invited guests TAKE Dance Company (NYC), Short School of Irish Dancing (Montreal/Plattsburgh), and special appearance by Andrew J. Nemr and CPD PLUS (NYC).
Made possible in part by Friends of Norte Maar, The Ruth and Ernest Reynolds Fund for New Ballet, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Cross Border Development Corp, The Downtown and Waterfront Revitalization Committee and The Village of Rouses Point, and public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program administered locally by the North Country Cultural Center for the Arts.
Fête de Danse is the premiere dance event in the North Country. This unique summer engagement brings regional, national + international dance companies to the rural Village of Rouses Point to perform their best repertory before audiences that gather from throughout the Northern Tier of New York State, Vermont, New England + Quebec.
