New Board Member! Trevor Carlson, Executive Director of Merce Cunningham Dance Company

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we welcome Trevor Carlson, Executive Director of Merce Cunningham Dance Company, to the Board of Directors of Norte Maar!Norte Maar will undoubtedly benefit from Trevor's extensive experience and knowledge about collaborative projects, performances and his innovative spirit and leadership. We feel privileged to have this association with Trevor, who is a very busy man, and we wish him and MCDC the best as they complete the Legacy Tour.From the Merce Cunningham Dance Company website:"During his tenure at MCDC, [Trevor] has helped to increase the number of visual artist collaborations by developing the possibility for Merce to createEvents in repertory theater houses that use different decors each evening. A total of 25 additional collaborations have been staged in this manner. He also helped stimulate the vision for MCDC's 2003 collaboration with the bands Radiohead and Sigor Rós and artists Robert Heishman and Catherine Yass. Most recently, in continuation of this collaborative philosophy, Trevor has helped to expand the role of MCDC as a community-wide residency partner. These partnerships provide historical context to Merce's work, as well as stimulate new local collaboration and creation across multiple artistic fields."
