Opening Reception/Holiday Party: Friday, Dec 16, 6-10pm

Bushwick, Brooklyn-Norte Maar is pleased to collaborate with independent curator Hannah Daly to present BUILT, a weekend long group show bringing together works by Anthony Browne, Tyler Considine, Eric Wolfgang Eisenhut and Letha Wilson. Developed with the idea that the artist is a builder of new worlds, artists were selected on the criteria that their work engages with process and construction, emphasizing material and method even in their final, finished state. BUILT presents a collection of two and three-dimensional works that re-perform their construction for the viewer.
The exhibition features a nine-foot square cube in Norte Maar’s front room. Built from materials scavenged from the streets of Bushwick, Browne’s cube is constructed without consideration for color, line, surface, dimension, uniformity, or form.
The show opens Friday, December 16, in conjunction with Norte Maar’s holiday celebration, and will run through Sunday, December 19.
